Your trusted responsibilities:

A vacancy for an office based service and repair scheduler has become available. The right candidate will be responsible for effectively planning and coordinating the schedules of field engineers to ensure timely and high-quality completion of repairs and services. This role involves liaising with customers to book appointments, understanding their service needs, and coordinating with engineers to assign jobs based on skills, availability, and location. The scheduler will ensure that resources are optimally utilized, customer expectations are met, and service delivery is completed efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining clear communication with both customers and the engineering team.

 

 

Essential Skills Base:

  • Experience in a similar role planning and scheduling resources
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Adaptable and effective learner
  • Disciplined and punctual
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and confident
  • Team player with a willingness to assist others when required
  • Computer literacy is a must
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK

 

Core responsibilities of the role:

  • Speaking with customers and make appointments
  • Undertake diagnosis of faults
  • Continuous review and prioritising of requests for work
  • Maintain computerised system for job plans, reports and invoicing
  • Track work orders to completion, auditing the works completed to identify areas for improvement
  • Quoting for further works where necessary
  • Evaluating the resources available before work order is scheduled, determining labour capacity
  • Respond to customer enquiries/calls in a timely manner
  • Ability to deal with conflicting demands from customers in a competent, professional and understanding manner
  • Deal with customer feedback i.e. complaints
  • Order and coordinate spare parts relating service and repair work
  • Monitoring expiry dates of warranty, service and repair contracts and contacting customers accordingly
  • Sub-Contractors – sending works orders and reviewing schedules
  • Sub-Contractors – reviewing invoices, query where necessary
  • Liaising with finance team re payment plan options
  • Monitoring outstanding service & repair proforma payments in conjunction with finance team
  • Continual improvement process projects
  • Resolving common technical issues
  • Respond to customer enquiries/calls in a timely manner
  • Ability to deal with conflicting demands from customers in a competent, professional and understanding manner
  • Order and coordinate spare parts relating service and repair work
