Limited headroom space meant that the compact Lifestyle Home Lift provided Mr and Mrs Kapadia with a perfect fit.
Mr and Mrs Kapadia contacted Terry Lifts in search of a solution to help Mrs. Kapadia get up and down the stairs in their house more easily. Mrs Kapadia suffers from knee problems and, not wanting to move house, she needed a practical solution to help her move more easily between floors.
A stair lift was not an option due to their very narrow staircase and limited headroom meant that larger home lifts were ruled out too. The Terry Lifestyle Home Lift was exactly what the Kapadias were looking for – an attractive, space-saving solution with a small, neat footprint.
After the initial survey, it became apparent that this would not be a straight-forward installation due to the very limited headroom in Mr and Mrs Kapadia’s house.
The headroom was so tight that Terry Lifts returned to the house to carry out a second survey and take very careful measurements. Every millimetre was important, so there was no room for error. It was concluded that the Lifestyle Lift could be installed, albeit rather snuggly!
Thanks to its space-saving design and small footprint, the Lifestyle Lift offers Mr and Mrs Kapadia not only a practical solution, but also an aesthetically pleasing one. Accuracy was vital on this project, so Terry Lifts sent their most experienced engineers to fit the lift. The preparatory work and installation was completed carefully by Terry Lifts’ engineers within three days and they demonstrated the lift to Mr and Mrs Kapadia and handed it over.
Mrs Kapadia has recently undergone a knee operation and has found the Lifestyle Lift to be invaluable in maintaining the freedom in her home during her recuperation. “I’m not sure how I would have coped since my operation without the Lifestyle Lift. I wouldn’t have been able to get up and down the stairs without it. Thank you to your team of staff who have done a fantastic job, especially during the installation, which was handled professionally and with minimal disruption”, she says.
