Your trusted responsibilities
The role will include responsibility for new projects and the on-going development of
current products. The successful candidate will contribute to our success by working not
only on their own initiative, but also by working with other departments in the business, our
suppliers and customers.

We trust our team to do their best for our customers. Here’s what you can expect to be doing in this
role:

  • Using PTC CREO 8 3D CAD package day to day.
  • Evaluation of problems and requirement to design new parts and/or modify existing
    parts.
  • Carry out testing and quality checks on new both new and existing parts and producing verification documentation.
  • Creation of CAD based technical documentation.
  • Lead and contribute to design discussions.
  • Progressing projects for new parts and assemblies from a conceptual design through into production.
  • Responsibility for the creation of new bills of materials and the manipulation of existing bills.
  • Performing calculations to verify designs.

What you’ll bring to the role…

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Specific experience in sheet metal design and mechatronics.
  • Working knowledge or interest in electrics and/or hydraulics would be beneficial. Experience testing designs and components against relevant standards.

You’ll also have the following essential skills:

  • UK based Degree in STEM subject
  • 2+ year professional experience in a design or manufacturing role.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and electrical tools.
  • Experience of 3D CAD modelling and technical drawing.
  • Creating and manipulating BOMs.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure.
  • Experience of safe working practices and using PPE.
  • IT Literate, including competence with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient at working with spreadsheets.
  • Well-motivated and able to work independently and part of a team.
  • Able to demonstrate lateral and creative thinking.
  • An excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
